Dixie was picked up in a motel parking lot on Sunday, January 6th, emaciated and with a great deal of trauma to her rear area, including a horribly prolapsed rectum. She found herself at the local county shelter in desperate need of veterinary care. One of our Adoption Team Volunteers transported her to the Animal Hospital where she is well on the road to recovery. All the staff has fallen in complete love with her, and we are expecting Dixie to be ready for discharge in another week or so and ready for spay a couple of weeks thereafter. If you would like to contribute to Dixie’s veterinary bills, which were already at $350 after just one week & failed to include any currently accumulated or future boarding charges, please consider donating to help us offset her expenses so funds will be available for future pets in need.
