Fur Kids:

  • O’Henry, my striped tabby that I’ve had since 1993. He has traveled all over the country with me and lived in 4 different states. He acts like a sophisticated old man, but sounds like a goat when he meows!
  • Miss Kitty, the adorable, long-haired black stray that my son found in 1995. He conveniently had her all settled in by the time I came home from work, so what could I say? We immediately fell in love with her and wouldn’t trade her for anything!
  • Honey, our beautiful Burman cat with the sky blue eyes! A friend of mine had been feeding her as a stray and when I went to visit, Honey climbed on top of my car and stayed there. I took the hint and she’s been part of my family over 5 years.
  • Miss Chiff, our tiny tabby cat that manages to get into BIG trouble! She likes to practice acrobatics on the top of the second floor railing and she’s never come across a bag or box she couldn't resist jumping in, regardless of what’s in it. Miss Chiff was a stray when we took her in about 4 years ago and my son has claimed her as HIS cat.
  • Missy, my Great Pyrenees that I am just crazy about! I discovered her at Animal Control and was able to foster her through the Clarksville Humane Society for a trial run. I was concerned about how she would get along with my 4 cats, but it only took a few days to see that she was the PERFECT fit for my family. Now she spends her time lounging on the couch or snoozing in the backyard on the pretty days.
  • I would also like to mention a few animals that have a special place in my heart: Lucy, the black lab that had been hit by a car that I fostered until she was healthy enough to go to her forever home; Gypsy, the first cat I ever adopted from a shelter who was a member of my family for over 15 years; Powder and Tiffany, my first pets and the ones responsible for sparking my love of animals; and Hershey, the chocolate lab that I frequently dog-sit that keeps things interesting around my home!
