Fur Kids:

  • Phillie, tortoiseshell and white DSH, 5 months, heard some crying out in the woods one evening and all my cats were gathered at the back corner of the fence, feral cats often howl, but this was different, I walked out back and this darling little 3 month kitten popped out and wound around my ankles

  • Spezi, black and white DSH, 12 years old, adopted from litter while I was stationed in Germany , brother to Chamois

  • Chamois, black and white DSH, 12 years old, brother to Spezi, blind in one eye, was runt of litter so I had to have him

  • Bobbie, brown and white tabby domestic brush coat, female, sister to Jamie, one of five kittens belonging to Curly’s litter, 8 yrs

  • Jamie, brown tabby domestic brush coat, sister to Bobbie, 8 yrs

  • Curly, black and white domestic brush coat, rescued from neglectful situation, but not before she had 5 kittens, all rescued, kept Bobbie and Jamie, turned in  3 to adoption clinic in Clarksville , 9 yrs

  • Kiwi, black and white DSH, 5 years old, he found me when I picked up his dead brother, hit by car on the road near my house, I was going to have husband bury the kitten, when Kiwi ran out of woods and ran up my leg and cuddled in my neck, he was slightly injured, 5 yrs

  • Cabbie, tabby calico DSH, another neighborhood rescue, scraggly mother cat, wandering around 3 houses up, in the street, would come when I called her, took her in

  • Phannie, tortoiseshell and white DSH, neighborhood stray, when Fred still wandered around outside, he found her as a kitten, she took a few weeks before we could coax her in, 7 yrs

  • Fuzz, 5 year old, cream and white DSH, client couple of my business took abandoned kitten in on a whim, could not have in apartment but would be able to have once they moved into new house about six weeks in the future, boarded him with me, but could not afford to pay the bill when it came time to get him back, well, that was easy, he’d been growing up in my home with my family so I said forget the bill and give me the cat.  DONE!  Fuzz has a heart condition and is on medication twice a day for the rest of his life

  • Fred, grey and white DSH, His former owner called him Freedom, a troubled teenager in the neighborhood from a broken home, he was to be sent back north to live with his mother (his dad being here in Clarksville) after getting in lots of trouble in school, etc, but he loved his cat and knew we had cared for Fred (Freedom) when the family went away, so he gave Fred to us before he left, 8 yrs

  • Bailey, Red and white DLH, 8 yrs, turned into the HS by some very undedicated owners, Bailey is a particular cat and was then adopted by the wrong family and returned again because he nipped a child, well Bailey nips all he wants now and loves to lounge

  • Bunnie, Grey brown mackerel tabby with white markings, DSH, 4 yrs, client started feeding her and her sister outside when they were a few months old, but wouldn’t take the responsibility of getting her spayed, sister got a home in the neighborhood, so I took her, she is my kitchen cat, and hangs out in the kitchen with her on bowls on the stove, and bed and litter box on the washer/dryer

  • Minnie, Bluegrey tabby DSH, 1, stray kitten in the back woods, her brother is still out there wild as they come, took several months to capture her

  • Missy, golden tabby Persian, 7, former client got very ill, had to give up Missy so she gave her to us, was rescued from a breeder, Missy has a chronic breathing problems because of the fad in breeding Persians with concave faces,  she looks like an owl!

  • Willie Mae, tortoiseshell bobtail DSH, 3, found in our woods behind the house, took a couple of months of feeding to get her in, she was already spayed, she is my office cat

  • Piccadilly, brown classic tabby DSH.10, kitten to Daddy Cat and Momma, two stray cats we rescued 10 years ago, Daddy cat died less than a year later of feline leukemia, Momma Cat died last year at 10 of liver failure, Pic was part of one of the litters Momma had before we captured her and spayed her, the other kittens were placed in adoption agency
